Another week already?

Time seems to be going by so quickly…I cannot believe that it is already April! Flowers are starting to sprout from the ground and buds are showing themselves on trees. It’s so nice to see the green coming back!

I’m having problems posting here today, so this may be very short and sweet. The wordpress format is different today for some reason…I’m not sure if I will be able to get any photos to post.

I did do my shop update yesterday, with 3 new feltidermy pieces being added to the shop.

And apparently I can’t get a photo to upload today, so please go check out my update. 🙂

I’m hoping that today will be a nicer day. We had rain all day yesterday, when the rain let up we had mist. While mist is cool and romantic in scenes of Pride and Prejudice, it just gives me hives.

Speaking of Pride and Prejudice, yes, I watched it again last night.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Happy Friday!

It’s seems like this has been a very long week, which makes the fact that it’s Friday even better! I’m still busy stitching as usual…I’ve added a few more items to the shop this week.

Mirabel the Tiny Purple Wool Felt Squirrel was added on Tuesday. She is on her way to a new home today.

Gray Doe Feltidermy was a new addition on Wednesday. I’m not sure what it is about her, but I love this one! Something about that sweet, yet cartoon-like face…

Yesterday I finished a double custom order. I love the way they turned out!

Yes, that is a purple unicorn with a Loch Ness monster! They were so much fun to create!

I have work to finish today on a chocolate plush jackalope. I will also be starting on a custom large jackalope feltidermy.

I hope to get time to make up a fresh batch of granola some time today also. I have been making at least 1 batch a week lately. I went to the natural foods store yesterday to get some spices and grabbed some sliced almonds while there to put in granola. I also bought some stone ground wheat flour, hopefully I will to get some bread made this weekend! I haven’t had time to make bread in a while, I think I need to take time to do that.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Thanks for stopping by.

New Additions for the New Year

I’ve been very busy this week getting some new creations ready for the shop

Jackalope 13 Feltidermy

Rainn the Wool Felt Squirrel

Dijon the Wool Felt Fawn is already on her way to a new home.

I’m currently working on a new “life size” jackalope feltidermy. I plan to have it finished and listed Monday afternoon.

It’s been a busy week here at home also. Coming home form a long trip is always quite a bit of work what with laundry and getting back into the swing of things again. Coming home after Christmas always tends to be even more so. My parents gave us a new set of pots and pans, in red that match our red and yellow kitchen! We also received from them a set of silverware, a set for 12! Both of these additions to the household have brought up all kinds of reorganizing this week. The silverware drawer has been completely revamped, as well as the pots and pans cupboard.

I hope you all have a wonderful and relaxing weekend!

Baby, it’s cold outside!

11 degrees F here right now, with a high of 33 today! Yikes, winter is definitely here. I don’t want to go out, but have to for just a bit today.

Jackalope 11 Feltidermy was added to my shop yesterday. This one has the whitewashed plaque that I have done for a few custom orders. I love this one and am temped to keep it for myself.

I’m working on a teeny tiny squirrel! Lets just see how small I can make these guys… It’s very good for my OCD. 😀

Stay warm!

37 Shopping Days Until Christmas?!

Yikes! I’ve been so busy stocking up my little shop that I have almost forgotten to start my shopping! I have started buying a few small items, sorry can’t show you yet. I don’t want to spoil any Christmas day surprises!

Jackalopes 5 and 6 feltidermy are on their way to their new homes! I’m always so happy to send my creations off to a new home. To know that they will be loved by someone else is a wonderful feeling!

I have some exciting news today! I have been accepted to the 3rd Ward Holiday Sale in Brooklyn on December 8, 2007! Whoo hoo, my first real show! If you’re in the area that day, please stop by and say hi. With only 3 weeks to prepare, I’m going to be one very busy little Savage.

With only a little over a month until Christmas and less than a week until Thanksgiving it is easy to remember that winter is heading our way. However , when we had a few snow flurries yesterday it did come as a shock! Snow! It has been predicted for today here in the Hudson Valley. I’m so glad I stocked up on hot cocoa before this weekend. I also made some chocolate chip cookies yesterday, yum!

I hope you all have a beautiful weekend! I’m off to work on a new large Jackalope Feltidermy!

Yes, a reindeer in feltidermy form is now available in my shop! I told you that I was working on a holiday piece. Stay tuned for the plush version that will be available soon also.

The large Jackalope 6 Feltidermy has found a new home! I will be taking it up for shipping to send out tomorrow. I will be starting on a new one over the weekend.

I can’t believe that Thanksgiving is a week from today! I think it’s my favorite holiday, well it’s at least in the top 2. It kind of snuck up on me this year. I have to dig out all of my recipes, make my shopping list…At least our turkey is ordered and will be ready to pick up next Wednesday evening. At least that’s one thing I don’t have to worry about. Yum…organic, free range turkey! Oh and garlic smashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, rolls, fresh gravy, cranberry relish, not to mention the orange rolls and mimosas we have for brunch while watching the parade. A day of cooking and eating all day. I can’t wait now!

How cool is this?

That is my shop on my husbands new iPhone! He got one from his bosses at work…I really didn’t think that I would like it, but come on! How cool is that? Etsy looks absolutely beautiful on it too! The only down side is that it is not flash compatible, so you can’t see all of the cool little things on there. So, you all don’t have to worry about my trying to snag a treasury while on a road trip. haha! I am a little excited that I never have to leave my shop or blog at home again. When we have to drive 15 hours home to IL for the holidays, you know where I’m going to be.

I thought I might show you a peak of my next piece that I’m currently working on…

Yes, those are antlers! So far I have worked for about 2 hours just to get that much done. For comparison this is the size of my usual feltidermy in my hand.

I’m hoping that it will be fairly close to “life” size. I plan to work most of the weekend on it, we’ll see how far that gets me on it.

I also wanted to introduce you to these 2 today. It getting cold so we are seeing them cuddling out in the living room more these days. They have finally given up on the idea that the dog may just be here for a visit. That is Cassidy in front and Reeces behind her. Yes, my sisters named Reeces after the peanut butter cups and Cassidy was named for the Grateful Dead song. Aren’t they cute? O.k. I’m partial, they have been our babies for 12 years now, we got them as kittens from my parents. Right now Reeces is trying to tell me that she needs food, so I will leave you all for today.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Another shop change and the bumper sticker winner!

Tiny Embossed Felt Jackalope has joined the other critters in my shop today! Oh and you have probably noticed that she is photographed in the white background…Yes, I have gone back to it. Who am I kidding, I love the white background! I was sad to see it gone every time I went to my shop..which is several times a day. I decided that the effect I wanted in my shop could be done with writing, even if I had to have help with the writing. That’s right, I’m not ashamed. I had help from a wonderful fellow Etsian who happens to be a brilliant copy writer!

Her Royal Majesty Bags is genius when it comes to writing as well as creating beautiful bags! Please visit her shop and you will see what I mean. She really helped me tweak my bio and shop announcement. It took her a few minutes do write what I had been trying to achieve for months. Thank you to her!

Alternate Bliss is the winner of the Esty Bumper Sticker! Check out her shop to for her art, jewelry and other blissful things. Oh and she’s a fellow blogger too!

Thanks for stopping by here and make sure to go check out my shop to see how it has changed. Let me know what you think. Now I’m off to play with my husbands new iPhone! I show you it tomorrow.
