Last Post Before Moving!

We pack up the truck tomorrow for the move to Chicago! So, this will be my last post from NY. Our internet will be disconnected tomorrow morning and we won’t get it back until Thursday…cause for a slight panic attack there. lol.  I’ll be able to check e-mails and my etsy shop from the Mr’s iPhone, so that will help.

Also just to let you know…tomorrow will be my last day to ship any items until the end of the week

A nice little, Etsy style, going away gift  today…Acorn the Tiny Squirrel Plush was on the front page of Etsy for a little while !

I will be back for a blog post at the end of the week, from Chicago!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

My very own Golden the Pony Boy

If you have read my blog before you already know how much I love Science of Sleep.

I wanted to show you my Golden the Pony Boy. I purchased him from lullabylily on Etsy and changed his name from Dapply Gray Pony as soon as he arrived.

Isn’t he sweet?! So is his creator and she makes the sweetest knitted creatures! I had been watching her shop and then saw a wonderful interview with her in the Storque. I was afraid someone else would buy the pony, so I had to get him for myself.

I also love Mrs Hedgehog and Her Twins also made by lullabylily!

So while you are doing your holiday shopping, don’t forget to check out all of us toy makers on Etsy! Heehee, yes, my shop too!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Chippy Prototype at Oktoberfest

Last weekend we went up to Hunter Mountain for Oktoberfest with a couple friends. Chippy went along for the fun!

There were lots of people there!

And a band up in front of the lodge. Are they really playing “Sweet Home Alabama” ? This is Oktoberfest in upstate NY, right?

I was too scared of heights, but my husband and our friend The Filmonista took Chippy up on the ski lift to enjoy the view.

Chippy don’t jump, we’re too high up!

Much cozier to be safe in her scarf!

It was getting late in the day, time to get back down to the ground.

Chippy thought they should go to the beer tent after braving the ski lift. Time to take this little squirrel home!

Would you like your own little squirrel to take out on adventures? You can now find this little guy, Acorn the Tiny Squirrel Plush in my shop!

Thanks for stopping by!

The “It” color for Fall

As a designer of any kind it is important to stay on top of the colors trends for every season. This fall I’m delighted that the hottest color for the season is purple. Purple gives a feeling of romance and femininity, it is also associated with royalty, regality, and nobility. And what better color to be set against all of natures golds that it gives us with the changing leaves!?

For my own contribution to the trend, I have created this Purple Miniature Bunny Rabbit Feltidermy or Brooch! Decorate your Blythe’s house or yourself with this little cutie!

*******Now, how about some gorgeous purple Etsy Finds!*******

~The Montmartre Plaid Painter’s Dress from tortillagirl is just adorable!

Worn as a sweet little dress or belted with your favorite jeans, it would be a great addition to anyones wardrobe!

~Want something you could take from the office to a night out on the town? I think The Phoebe in (Deep Purple) from snoozerloser is the perfect find!

~Maybe your more of the t-shirt kinda girl… This Chandelier print gold purple t-shirt from PrettyRaccoon should fit the bill.

~If color in our accessories is more you thing, these would be the perfect splurge for fall! Make a statement with custom purple and green sandals from zerkahloostrah. In custom made shoes you could feel like Cinderella at the ball anytime you wish!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by! We are off to Oktoberfest at Hunter Mountain today. I will be back tomorrow , hopefully with some photos of the changing leaves…If I can get up the guts to ride on the ski lift. 😉

Feltidermy for your Blythe!

A little while ago I was asked by Claudia of lepetitboutique to make a feltidermy for her Blythe house. I thought it would be a fun challenge to take on. Want to see the end results?

Claudia was kind enough to take some photos of one of her Blythe’s with the Miniature feltidermy! Isn’t is sweet!? Oh and the adorable outfit is just one example of the cuteness you can find in her shop! Be sure to go check it out!

Now there are two more available in my shop!

Gray Miniature Bunny Rabbit Feltidermy or Brooch

Antique White Miniature Bunny Rabbit Feltidermy or Brooch

The “or brooch” part is not a mistake…I decided to put a pin back on the backs of these. The pin back can be used for the hanger and the miniature feltidermy can also be worn as a brooch!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Your Life is an Occassion, Rise to it!

I’m feeling a little inspired this afternoon. I just sat and watched a movie that I have been waiting to see. Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium, it came on the t.v. today and I just had to stop everything I was doing…except for a little stitching, so that I could watch it. I have to say it was worth it! Well, how could someone who makes toys not think that? But, seriously it was good and fun and inspiring! Whether you have a child to sit and watch it with it not, it doesn’t matter. It has a great message for all! After all, who shouldn’t believe in themselves?

Speaking of toys…I added this sweet addition to the shop last week! Pumpkin Spice Plush Bunny

Oh yeah, We got the apartment we wanted in Chicago! I’ve been so busy stitching and packing… We move at the end of the month! Whoo hoo!
