More Ferret Fun

Not too long ago I had told you about a couple custom ferrets that I had made. They were made as a wedding gift and have now made it to there new home!

Yesterday I was thrilled to receive pictures of the plush ferrets with their real life counterparts! Misty, up top, and Star, below that, look very happy in their home… the plush and real ferrets together. As for the happy couple I wish them many, many years of happiness in wedded bliss! Congratulations!

Yesterday I finished a new custom ferret for another order. This little girl was a little harder, but I think she is very cute in the end.

And finally we have Bianca the Albino Ferret, she is in my shop and available to anyone who wishes to have her.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! We will be heading out soon to get Beans’ haircut! While she is at the groomers the Mr and I will visit with some friends we have not seen in forever!

Custom Goody Plush

As you probably know by now, I love making custom items! The ones based on peoples pets are especially fun for me. This latest one was so much fun that I had to share him with you. His name is Goody, a beautiful mix of half boxer and half american staffordshire terrier. Goodys’ owner contacted me through my shop and asked me to make a custom plush of him. I had so much fun studying photos of him from her flickr pages! With the help of the photos I was able to build a pattern of him straight from his photos.

This Goody plush is being sent on his way to live with the real Goody today!

My plans for today include: another custom item and getting the house clean before my husbands birthday weekend. The custom I will be finishing today is an American red squirrel Feltidermy… Too fun!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

A Shark and some Monster Cookies!

My latest creation for the shop is this Great White Shark Feltidermy!

I’ve been wanting to make a shark for quite a while and I thought he went well with my recent marine Feltidermy creations. The Green Fish Feltidermy has already found a new home, so has a Narwhal Feltidermy that I listed on Monday! Want to see what he looks like?

Now, for Monster Cookies! Actually they are chocolate chunk monster cookies! Yup, they are really Yummy!

Here is my recipe if you would like to try it:

Chocolate Chunk Monster Cookies

1/2 cup softened butter
3/4 cup sugar…1/2 of it brown, 1/2 of it white
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 cup + 1 Tbs oatmeal
3/4 cup + 1 1/2 TBS flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
3/4 cup chocolate chunks
1/4 cup slivered almonds

Scoop heaping teaspoons of dough onto a dry cookie sheet, leaving room in between for them to spread while baking.
Bake at 375 for about 8 minutes or until golden brown.
This recipes makes about 2 dozen 2.5 inch cookies.

Enjoy and thanks for stopping by!

A Whitewashed Whale and a Polar Bear

The Whitewashed Whale Feltidermy was added to the shop this past Friday. I think it would be the greatest addition to any beach cottage!

The Polar Bear is so new she doesn’t even have a name yet. I just finished her yesterday and will be adding her to the shop tomorrow . I think she is really cute, I might have to make another one like her just for me.

I hope you are having a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by and I will see you tomorrow!

Don’t worry, no fish were harmed!

I made a brand new Feltidermy for the shop, introducing… Green Fish Feltidermy! My eight year old nephew actually suggested that I do it and since it had been something I had been thinking of doing…I just couldn’t resist!

Does it remind you of those singing fish from a few years ago? Yup, me too! This one does not sing, because ya know as funny as those were after the first time you made it sing, it just got kind of annoying after that. Although…I haven’t completely dropped the thought. If your not sure what I’m talking about, watch this!

Present to a peaceful hunters?

This was translated from another page that I found one of my feltidermy featured on. I found it through Google on Metrobloggen – Presentgurun, another Swedish site!

Which when translated in Google translate says: Present to a peaceful hunters?

A smårolig gift to the hunter – or the hunter’s children! — Are “trophies” of felt, mounted on sturdy plates, just like hunting trophies should be. These can be bought or specialbeställa of Girl Savage for around $ 30 and up.

I have added a couple new Feltidermy to the shop this week. Jackalope 24 Feltidermy

and Bookish Mouse 6 Feltidermy.

I also added a new Plush today!

Emmet the Embossed Felt Deer is now waiting for a new home! He was stitched from royal blue, embossed felt and couldn’t be any cuter!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by! which in Swedish, according to Google translate is: Ha en trevlig dag och tack för att stanna till!

Random Saturday Good Stuff

First off today I finished a pair of plush ferrets for a custom order from my shop! The pair will be heading to Australia where they will be a wedding gift! How cool is that!?

I then received my Etsy Face Off Bandana by argylewhale from the EtsyLabs in the mail today!

Yes that is a jackalope feltidermy being blown out of the Etsy volcano with other great items! I’m so excited and honored to be included in the design by Elise of ArgyleWhale!

We are having kind of a rainy, gloomy day here in Upstate NewYork. So, I think I will spend the day watching a birthday gift and stitching! I’m so happy, my husband got me The Muppet Show  Season 2 on dvd for my birthday!

And now for your viewing pleasure… Mahna Mahna!!!

A Little Like Credit Card Commercial…

Traffic and parking to Yankee Stadium… A mess

Bleacher seats… crowded, hot and sticky

My nephew getting to see his favorite player hit a home run… Priceless!

We had a great time at the game! I had never been to a real ball game before either, so it was really fun to see it with them.

Now back to real life again…

I added a couple 1″ button sets to the shop today. There are 2 to choose from:

First is Girlsavage Plush Button Set which includes 3 buttons of plush critters packaged in a black velvet pouch. This set includes Chippy Squirrel, Bunny Blue and Spotti Fawn.

The next is Girlsavage Plush Button Set 2 which features four other plush set against a white background. This one includes a loch ness monster and a unicorn in the set. This set also comes in a black velvet pouch.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have a great weekend!
